An Emergency Plan and Training is required within the context of the Building Fire Safety Regulations 2008 QLD. Each workplace and residential site is required to follow this regulations which in turn adapt Australian Standards to deal with or manage an emergency. The actions taken in the initial minutes of an emergency are critical. The first step of developing an Emergency Response Plan is to conduct a risk assessment to identify potential emergency scenarios and the source of such situations. This will provide the basis for determination of resource requirements and procedure preparation. First Response Training, General Evacuation Training, Warden Training and Evacuation Diagrams will all refer to the Emergency Plan of a particular site.
